Archangel Michael (15th century icon replica) Step by step.
This was my university project as part of learning painting technology of 15th century.
Some moments of that were bumpy, but in the end it came out quite decent.
The paint used is tempera based on natural egg yolk.
This is a wooden panel already primed with chalk powder based primer

filling background
filling base colors

adding layers + golden paint
more layers and refinement
almost finished.
